St Joseph's College

Thank you for your email and interest in applying to St Joseph's College in-year transfer form.

We have attached the in-year application form from the LA and our own supplementary information form, which you need to complete and return directly to the school, together with  proof of residence if residing outside of Stoke on Trent.  This form is for this current academic year, as we are unable to process applications for other academic years. 

Once this form is received, we will inform the Local Authority and will send you information for the date and time of the in-year entrance test, unless your child has already sat and passed it, they will not need to do so again.

The test is a standardised verbal and non-verbal reasoning, multiple choice computer-based test.  Sample questions can be purchased at a good bookstore and further information can be accessed on our FAQ under admissions on our website.

Should your child reach the standardized mark of 105, then the admissions committee will look at all the applications and make a decision whether the school can admit more pupils into the year group, without causing prejudice to the provision of efficient education, or efficient use of resources.  If we are unable to offer a place then your child will be placed on the waiting list. Please note that currently we are at capacity in all of the years.

Once your child has taken the test and should they pass, then they will not have to retake the test each year, but you will need to complete a new in-year transfer form for each new academic year.
